“Praise the LORD. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens.” Psalm 150:1
Worship Teams and Special Music
Vocalists and instrumentalists serve by using their musical gifts and talents in leading us into God’s presence during the Sunday morning worship service while their lives demonstrate what it means to worship God throughout the week.
Worship teams serve on a rotating basis and generally practice Thursday evenings and on Sunday morning before the worship service. Worship Team Leaders ensure they have vocalists and instrumentalists to serve when their team is up for service and communicate song selection and practice times to the worship team as well as the audio/video technicians.
If you are interested in serving on a Worship Team or sharing your musical gifts, please complete an application which is available at our Welcome Center.
Each worship team has its own tech team supporting them with their gifts and talents.
Audio Technicians prepare the worship center, provide microphones, perform sound checks and monitor sound quality during the service. They also put away the sound equipment after the service and shut down the sound system. Audio techs are part of the worship team and are expected to be available for worship team practices.
Video Technicians put together the media presentation (using Pro Presenter) for the praise songs led by the worship teams that appears on the video monitors for the congregation to follow. The video tech also runs the entire media presentation during the worship service, including the hymns and sermon presentation. They are expected to be available for the Sunday morning practice and to validate the slides for praise songs and hymns . After the worship service, he/she quits the ProPresenter program and shuts down the computer.
Light Technicians operate the lights during the worship service by appropriately selecting and powering the switches for lights based on worship activity.
The Audio/Video/Light coordinator is responsible for scheduling technicians according to when their worship team serves, assisting in finding substitutes and training technicians. If you are interested in serving as a technician, contact coordinator Greg Mason at (763) 262-0110.
Male and female actors (of all ages) help us learn about God and His truths, and life through plays, musicals and other dramatic presentations. Auditions for actors will be announced as needed.
