KIDS MINISTRY
FOR BIRTH – 5TH GRADE
What a joy it is to serve the youngest members of our faith family. Sunday mornings are bustling with kids. Our nursery is recently updated! The murals beautifully depict God’s creation story from Genesis. Kids Church is thriving with 20+ kids worshiping together and learning God’s Word.
We launched a new after-school program in October, Imago Kids, where kids enjoy games, snacks, music, crafts and Bible story time.

Programming & Teaching on Sundays
Nursery | AWANA/Sunday School (during the school year) | Kids Church
Nursery (Infants & Toddlers)
Runs throughout the year during Sunday morning service at 10:30AM.
.
In our nursery, caregivers lead children ages birth–3 years in age-appropriate activities, including play time, God-centered stories, songs, and verses. Each session in the nursery includes prayer for each child by name, and a simple snack is provided for children over 12 months.
Nursery care is available during:
- Sunday Morning AWANA (register for AWANA “Puggles”)
- Sunday Worship Service
- Some special events
We also take safety, security, and wellness to heart to give you the confidence that your little one is in good hands. Parents check in at a kiosk upon arrival to print a security and nametag for each child.
Children’s Church
Age 4 through 5th grade
Sunday mornings throughout the year at 10:30am during the worship service (except on Family Sunday, the 1st Sunday of each month). We are using the Go! Curriculum currriculum which addresses age variation and dffering learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, Kinesthetic). It allows kids to connect the weekly video directly to the Bible as God’s Word.
Hop to It (age 4-2nd grade): Get ready for Kenzie the Kangaroo to hop into the hearts of the preschoolers. She traveled all the way to Children’s church, but when she got there, the story objects fell out of her pouch and now they’re lost. Not to worry, though! The kids will hop to it and save the day! Once found, the objects will help kids learn that they can follow Jesus and tell others about Him.
Strike a pose (grades 3-5): Look up in the sky. It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…just a kid posing as Superman! When kids strike a pose, they can become just about anything — a superhero, a prehistoric monster, even a slice of pizza. They can also become characters in the Big Bible Story. During “Strike a Pose,” kids will be pushed, pulled, and shaped into different poses to help tell the stories of how the early church was started and exploded into the world. More than that, kids will learn how they can help build God’s church today.
AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed – 2 Tim. 2:15)
(for babies through 12th grade!)
Our Awana program runs during our Sunday School hour at 9:15AM throughout the school year (through 5/19/2024). Our Awana program covers children from nursery through high school. Find out more about AWANA here.
You can register for AWANA by clicking on the button below. You also can register your children (or just visit for a week) at the church on Sunday morning.
At the end of AWANA/Sunday school each week, children (through grade 5) will be brought to the BBC Kids room for Kids’ Church.
Special Events
For kids age 4 (by 9/1) – Grade 5 (entering in Fall 2024). They will be challenged as they discover that God’s truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. Adventure awaits each day as kids explore tide pools, spot orcas, fly kites, and watch the mighty waves crash up against the immovable Breaker Rock! They’ll discover that God does not want them to be conformed to this age, but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds so that they can discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). Click on the button below to get your child registered.
