KIDS MINISTRY

FOR BIRTH – 5TH GRADE

What a joy it is to serve the youngest members of our faith family. Sunday mornings are bustling with kids. Children’s Church is thriving with 20+ kids worshiping together and learning God’s Word.  Sunday School during the school year offers the Awana Clubs program.

During the school year, we run an after-school program, Imago Kids — where kids enjoy games, snacks, music, crafts and Bible story time.

Programming & Teaching on Sundays

Nursery | AWANA/Sunday School (during the school year) | Kids Church

Nursery (Infants & Toddlers)

Runs throughout the year during Sunday morning service at 10:30AM.

.

In our nursery, caregivers lead children ages birth–3 years in age-appropriate activities, including play time, God-centered stories, songs, and verses. Each session in the nursery includes prayer for each child by name, and a simple snack is provided for children over 12 months.

Nursery care is available during:

  • Sunday Morning AWANA (register for AWANA “Puggles”)
  • Sunday Worship Service
  • Some special events

We also take safety, security, and wellness to heart to give you the confidence that your little one is in good hands. Parents check in at a kiosk upon arrival to print a security and nametag for each child.

Children’s Church

Age 4 through 5th grade

Meets Sunday mornings throughout the year at 10:30am during the worship service in room #127 (except on Family Sunday, the 1st Sunday of each month & 3rd Sunday in the summer). We are using the Go! Curriculum currriculum which addresses age variation and dffering learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, Kinesthetic). It allows kids to connect the weekly video directly to the Bible as God’s Word.

Current Series

(Go! Curriculum)

Age 4 – Grade 2: “1,2,3, Count with Me” – Little kids count — in more ways than one! During “1, 2, 3…Count with Me,” the kids will get to find and count the Bible story pictures. Each picture will help tell a portion of the Bible story. It all adds up to a wonderfully fun experience that teaches kids that sharing and telling the truth count to God, so it should count to us too!

Grades 3 -5: “Emoji Madness” – Who doesn’t love a good emoji?! Happy, sad, scared, or mad — we can show people how we’re feeling with just one little picture. Emojis are also the perfect way to unpack the Book of Psalms! During “Emoji Madness,” kids will use different emojis to tell the Bible story and to discover how God helps us manage our emotions.

Awana Clubs

(for babies through 12th grade!)

Our Awana clubs run during our Sunday School hour at 9:15AM throughout the school year. It covers children from nursery through high school. Find out more about Awana Clubs here. At the end of AWANA/Sunday school each week, children (through grade 5) will be brought to the BBC Kids room for Kids’ Church.

REGISTRATION COMING SOON!

IMAGO KIDS After-School

Parent Resources

Sacred Parenting
Parenting is complicated. The lessons we teach (and lessons we learn) are not always what we expect. There are many resources that discuss how parents change their children, but SACRED PARENTING turns the tables to talk about how God uses children to change their parents.

Volunteer

We know that if we want to be effective, we need to be really serious about investing in and empowering the volunteers we lead. When we do that, we multiply our influence, increase the capacity of our ministry, and give kids a better shot at building a lifelong faith. Research shows that young people need not just one pastor, but a community of adults who are all investing in them and in their faith. So, we know it’s important to invest in your first so that you can better invest in kids.
