Sermon Series: Psalms

Pastor Kevin kicked off a new sermon series in the Psalms for the summer on Sunday, July 4. Based on Psalm 24:1-5, key takeaways included:

• Transformation begins when you understand who owns it all.
• The only one truly capable of ascending the hill is Jesus.
• We owe the world an encounter with God.

Pastor Nate continued the sermon series in the Psalms with a message from Psalm 8.  Key takeaways included:

• We must honestly understand our place compared to His place.
• We must honestly seek God’s Will in how we live our life in service to Him.

Pastor Nate continued the sermon series in the Psalms with a message from Psalm 32.  Key takeaways included:

• We must acknowledge and confess our sin.
• We rejoice that God is faithful to forgive us of our sin.

Pastor Nate continued the Psalms sermon series on August 1 with a message from Psalm 111.  Key takeaways included:

• We must take the opportunity to genuinely perceive His great works.
• We must intentionally praise Him with thanksgiving for this work in our lives.

• We must be reminded of God’s promise to us through Jesus Christ.
• We must speak of this good news that has come and is yet to come as we wait in anticipation.

• We must not compartmentalize our life of praise to God; our whole life is consecrated to Him.
• We must understand that He is our Savior and His Kingdom is not of this world.
• We must diligently proclaim this good news to every generation in our midst.
