Pastor Nate kicked off a new sermon services on Sept. 6th titled, “How Firm A Foundation” – a deep dive into the foundational truths in Acts 2. He wrapped up the series on Oct. 4th.

Part I. Sept 6th

Pastor Nate shared Acts 2: 1-13. Key take aways included:

  1. The Church is the gathered family of believers consumed by the Holy Spirit.
  2. The good news of salvation is for all people, because all people are in need of saving.
  3. The Holy Spirit begins the regathering of God’s people from every tribe, tongue, and nation.

During this service we celebrated the Lord’s Supper.

Part II. Sept 13th

Pastor Nate shared Acts 2: 14-21. Key take aways included:

  1. As Christians we should be compelled to proclaim the transforming power of God’s Spirit in our lives.
  2. The Spirit longs to illuminate scripture for us, we must meditate on it.

Part III. Sept 20th

Pastor Nate shared Acts 2: 22-36. Key take aways included:

  1. As Christians we must see that scripture has been pointing to Jesus all along.
  2. As Christians, we must understand our own sin, and the great love of God that releases us from that burden.
  3. As Christians, we must witness to the hope we have in the final King to come.

Part IV. Sept 27th

Pastor Nate shared Acts 2: 37-41. Key take aways included:

  1. As Christians, we must respond daily to who Christ Jesus is in our lives.
  2. As Christians, we repent and outwardly show this inward transformation.
  3. As Christians, we hope in the blessings that God has promised.

Part V. Oct. 4th, 2020

Pastor Nate shared Acts 2: 42-47. Key take aways included:

  1. As Christians, we prioritze growing together in fellowship.
  2. As Christians, we are committed to gathering together in fellowship.
  3. As Christians, we display a joy and gladness in the fellowship that is desireable to others.
