Part I. Oct. 11

Pastor Nate kicked off a new sermon series this week on the book of Zechariah. Key takeaways included:

  1. God is faithful to be with us no matter the circumstance, but we must turn to Him.
  2. God does not want robotic obedience, but personal relationship.
  3. Despite our running from Him, He continues to offer Salvation, a Hope in the Kingdom to come.

Part II. Oct. 18th

Zechariah 2

Pastor Nate continued this week on the book of Zechariah. He spoke of eight visions. Key takeaways included:

  1. Even when we’re surrounded by hardship, God is here, dwelling among us.
  2. We can leave the judgment up to God, He has promised to make things right.
  3. We are not good enough, but God’s Word, Jesus, is. He is the One that covers the sin we are yet plagued with.

Part III. Oct. 25th

Zechariah 3

Pastor Nate continued this week on the book of Zechariah. He spoke of eight visions. Key takeaways included:

  1. We are able to deflect the accusations that Satan levels at us by knowing that our defender is God himself.
  2. We obediently walk in His ways, not to earn favor, but because we have been freely given favor.
  3. We are not to be misled by the imperfect peace and prosperity of this world, rather we hope for true peace.

Part IV. Nov. 1

Zechariah 4

Pastor Nate shared Zechariah 4 and also lead the church in communion. Key takeaways from the sermon:

1. We must communicate with God, trusting His command over our situation. We ask, God answers.
2. As Spirit-indwelled followers of Christ we must strive to bring His Kingdom here on earth.
3. We must tell others of the Good News, of the perfect priest and King.

During this service we celebrated the Lord’s Supper.

Part V. Nov. 8

Zechariah 7 and 8

Pastor Nate shared a message from Zechariah 7 and 8. Key takeaways from the sermon:

1. We are to fight for the powerless of our society today.
2. We trust God’s purpose even in the midst of trial and despair.
3. We are to bring others to the robe of Jesus who brings them into His kingdom.

Part VI. Nov. 15

Zechariah 9, verses 1-17

Pastor Nate shared a message from Zechariah 9:1-17. Key takeaways from the sermon:

1. Curb your anxieties with prayer, because God hears and sees your suffering.
2. Emulate King Jesus; seek humility, peace and righteousness.
3. Make Jesus your Lord, not just by words, but by actions.

Part VII. Nov. 22

Zechariah 12, verses 10-14 and 13, verse 1

Pastor Nate shared a message from Zechariah 12:10-13:1. Key takeaways from the sermon:

1. Trust the Spirit to give you the ability to endure whatever you face now.
2. Mourn the effects of sin and put things in place to help overcome sin.
3. Hope for the day when all is made right by God.
